Port of Galway is the sole stevedoring company that operates at the Port. The company owns
and operates a state-of-the-art harbour mobile crane (Sennebogen 870e and Sennebogen 640M/K2)

The Port of Galway handled safely and efficiently the following commodities:
- Heavy lift machinery / equipment for the Tynagh Power Plant in 2005
- Bulk Coal / Petcoke
- Steel
- Baled Timber
- The Port has successfully handled fourteen wind turbine projects for Enercon, Vestas and Siemens.
- The Galway Wind Park (58 turbines) Ireland’s largest onshore wind Park was handled for Siemens 2017.
